India OCI Photo Requirements 2026
The OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) photo uses the same 51×51 mm (2×2 inch) format as the Indian passport — plain white background, head centered. For online OCI applications and re-issuance, the photo must be uploaded as a JPEG between 10 and 200 KB with the digital aspect ratio matching the printed dimensions.
Key details
- OCI applications require the photo uploaded online during Part A of the application — not separately mailed.
- A separate signature image must also be uploaded — 50×50 mm on plain white paper, signed in black ink.
- For OCI re-issuance after passport renewal, the latest photo must be used (within the last six months).
