Sweden Driving Licence Photo Requirements (Körkort) 2026
Swedish driving licences without a photograph are only valid together with a separate photo ID. When you apply for or renew a Swedish körkort, the Transportstyrelsen (Swedish Transport Agency) requests that you visit one of their driving test offices to have your biometric photo and signature captured on-site — same 35×45 mm biometric standard as the Swedish passport.
Key details
- Photo is captured at Transportstyrelsen driving test office — not at home or photo studios.
- Same 35×45 mm biometric specification as the Swedish passport.
- Without an attached photograph, a Swedish körkort is only valid alongside another photo ID.
