Singapore NRIC (IC) Gereksinimler 2026

The NRIC is issued automatically to (a) Singapore citizens at birth and (b) Permanent Residents on grant of PR status. Foreigners cannot apply for an NRIC directly — they must first obtain Singapore Permanent Residence. The main PR pathways are: PTS Scheme (Professionals, Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers) for current Employment Pass, S Pass, PEP, ONE Pass, Tech Pass, or EntrePass holders — ~95% of PR approvals come via PTS; Family Ties Scheme for spouses and unmarried children under 21 of Singapore citizens or PRs; Foreign Student Scheme for students who have studied in Singapore for at least 2 years and passed a national exam; and the Global Investor Programme (GIP) administered by EDB for high-net-worth investors. Citizens and PRs must re-register their NRIC at age 30 and again at age 55. Initial NRIC registration for citizens happens at age 15.

Nereye başvurulur

PR applications: online via the e-PR system inside the myICA portal at ica.gov.sg using SingPass (or ICA-issued credentials for those without SingPass). NRIC matters (collection of first NRIC for new PRs, re-registration at age 30 / 55, and lost/damaged replacements): ICA Building, 10 Kallang Road, Singapore — by appointment via myICA. NRIC re-registration can also be collected at selected SingPost outlets for a S$6 service fee. GIP applications go via the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), not ICA.

~12 months

ICA officially states PR applications are processed within 6 months provided all documents are in order. In practice, straightforward profiles see decisions in 4–6 months and complex cases requiring panel review take 6–12 months. After PR approval, the formal Entry Permit ceremony and NRIC issuance are scheduled within about 2 months of the approval letter, with the physical NRIC collected the same day or within a week. NRIC re-registration at 30 / 55 is processed the same day at ICA Building, with the new card collected within 5–7 working days (or at SingPost). Note: Singapore approves around 30,000–40,000 new PRs per year against an estimated 100,000–150,000 applications, giving an approximate approval rate of 25–35% — competitive but not as low as some online sources claim.

Sık sorulan sorular

singapore nric (ic) başvurusuyla ilgili sık sorulan sorular.

How much does it cost to apply for Singapore PR? +
The PR application fee is S$100 per applicant (non-refundable). If approved, you pay another S$120 in issuance fees: S$20 for the Entry Permit, S$50 for the 5-year Re-Entry Permit, and S$50 for the NRIC. Total government fees: about S$220 per adult applicant. The Global Investor Programme route has a separate S$20,000 application fee.
How long does Singapore PR take to process? +
ICA officially states 6 months, and that is realistic for straightforward PTS applications. Complex cases — older applicants, smaller employers, certain industries, or anything requiring panel review — can take 9–12 months. The myICA portal shows status as Received, Under Processing, or Additional Documents Requested.
What is the Singapore PR approval rate? +
ICA does not publish official approval rates. Best estimate: Singapore grants about 30,000–40,000 new PRs annually against roughly 100,000–150,000 applications, giving a 25–35% approval rate. Approval depends heavily on profile strength — salary, employer, length of stay in Singapore, age, family ties, and integration. PTS approval rates are higher for applicants earning well above the EP minimum (S$5,600), with stable Singapore-based employers, and who have lived in Singapore for 3+ years.
Do Permanent Residents get an NRIC? +
Yes. All Singapore Permanent Residents aged 15 and above are issued the same blue NRIC (National Registration Identity Card, locally called "IC") that citizens receive at age 15. The card is identical in format but encodes PR status. PRs pay S$50 for the NRIC on PR grant (and S$50 again at age 30 / 55 re-registration), whereas citizens pay only S$10 for re-registration.
What is the PTS Scheme for Singapore PR? +
The Professionals, Technical Personnel and Skilled Workers (PTS) Scheme is the main pathway to Singapore PR — more than 95% of PRs come via PTS. It is open to current holders of Employment Pass, S Pass, Personalised Employment Pass (PEP), ONE Pass, Tech Pass, or EntrePass. ICA recommends at least 6 months on the pass before applying; immigration agents typically recommend waiting 12+ months and ideally 2–3 years to build a stronger case. Salary, employer credentials, education, and length of stay are the key factors.
When do I need to re-register my Singapore NRIC? +
Twice in your lifetime, before your 31st and 56th birthdays. Initial NRIC registration happens at age 15. Re-registration at age 30 and again at age 55 is compulsory if you have not been issued a replacement NRIC within the previous 10 years. The fee is S$10 for citizens and S$50 for PRs. Re-registration is done at ICA Building (10 Kallang Road) by appointment booked via myICA; the new card can be collected on-site within 5–7 working days or at a SingPost outlet for an extra S$6 fee.
Why are Singapore PR applications rejected? +
ICA does not give specific reasons in rejection letters, but the most common causes are: insufficient salary or work history relative to peers in the same industry; short stay in Singapore (under 2 years); employer credentials (small or new companies); age 50+ without compensating factors; weak community integration or social contributions; incomplete supporting documents; and quota constraints in your nationality or industry. Re-applying 6 months later with a strengthened profile (higher salary, more tenure, additional family in Singapore) is standard practice.
What is the Global Investor Programme (GIP)? +
The GIP is Singapore's PR-by-investment route, administered by the Economic Development Board (EDB), not ICA. Three investment options: (1) at least S$10 million in a new or existing Singapore-based business with genuine employment creation; (2) at least S$25 million in an EDB-approved GIP fund; or (3) at least S$50 million in a new GIP fund investing substantially in Singapore. Applicants must be founders/owners of established businesses (S$200M+ revenue) or family-office principals (USD 200M+ AUM). Application fee: S$20,000 (revised May 2025). Processing: ~12 months.
