You must apply at the immigration office covering your registered address within 90 days of arrival in Korea — fines apply for late registration. HiKorea (www.hikorea.go.kr) is the mandatory online portal for booking an appointment and, for many categories, filing the e-Application in advance. You then attend the immigration office covering your registered address (Seoul Immigration in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul Southern, Suwon, Incheon, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, Daejeon, Jeju, etc.). Walk-ins are no longer accepted at any major office — appointment booking is required. The English helpline 1345 (operated by Korea Immigration Service) handles questions in 20+ languages.
